What is your favorite thing about the movie Labyrinth?
I am enthralled by the fact that it always changes. It is a movie that appeals to both young and old. It gains more meaning as you grow older. It is never what it seems to be.
Who is your favorite character, and why?
Jareth, naturally. He is the epitomy of a young girl's fantasy. He's a King. He is omnipotent and omnipresent. He is divinely handsome but in an andogynous fashion that appeals to many facets of female sexuality. Jareth, simply...is.

If Jareth had given you the crystal (and there was no baby brother at stake), what dream would you have chosen?
My dream (now that I'm older) would be a door to a room that contained the finest bed available. Down pillows, down featherbed, 1000 count silk/cotten sheets. There would always be the most exquisite food available. A fine library at my disposal. A decadent bathroom with a whirlpool tub and a Norwegian Masseuse named Sven. The best part is: no matter how long you stayed in that room, not a moment of time would pass in the real world.
What character in the movie do you think you are most like? Why?
I think I am most like the goblin who during the battle shouts, "I've had enough! I'm going to bed!"
Do you believe in faeries? No

What is your favorite quote?
"Do you know the rest of the tale of the Walrus and the Carpenter, by any chance? How they feasted on their unwitting little oyster pals? Mmm...So delicious and guilt-free. They hardly give their treachery a second thought, really. They were hungry; they ate. End of story." Lucien Lacroix from Forever Knight

Do you think David Bowie is sexy? (If you don't swing that way.... how about Jennifer?)
Not really. He doesn't do much for me except when he was Jareth.
Do you have a favorite Bowie album? What is it and what do you like about it?
The Labyrinth Soundtrack
What career are you in, or what career do you hope to be in?
I currently work in remarketing for leased vehicles.

What are your hobbies?
I read extensively and learn new graphics software When I was younger (like 5 years ago) I performed in local music theater.
What are your favorite movies?
I think Labyrinth is a given. I am also extrememly fond of the Terminator movies, Conan The Barbarian (NOT Conan the Destroyer!), X-Men, Elizabeth among others.

What are your favorite books?
The Handmaid's Tale (by Margaret Atwood), Lady Oracle (by Margaret Atwood), 1984 (by George Orwell), The Clan of the Cave Bear (by Jean Auel), Ravished (by Amanda Quick), Jane Eyre (by Charlotte Bronte), The Six Wives of Henry VIII (by Allison Weir) and The Boy Who Kicked Pigs (by Tom Baker).
Who is your favorite singer or band?
Pink Floyd and Sting

What are your favorite Web sites?

What is your favorite set of song lyrics?
The entire album of Pink Floyd The Wall. After that, I'm not sure I could pick just one song.
Well, perhaps "Dangerous Game" from the Jekyll & Hyde Broadway Soundtrack.

What is the most amazing thing you have ever done?
I gave birth! A 40hr labor with no drugs is about as amazing as I can get! LOL

Tell us more about yourself.
I work hard at 2 jobs to support myself and my son without government aid. I wish I could go back in time to when my worst problems involved homework. But I wouldn't give up my son for the world. So it's a hard road I ride, but it's my life and I defy those to tell me it's not good enough.

After that, I'm a Large (read: fat) woman who is unapologetic about it. Just call me a mother bear. Come near my cub and I'll tear your arms off and beat you with them.

In closing...
We are all given challenges in life. What really counts, however is not the problems we face, but how we face them. But a quote from a Nazi concentration camp survivor always gives me pause. This isn't word for word but it's close.

"We can still remember the men who went to the huts offering comfort of giving away their last crust of bread. They are proof that our life is not judged by the things we endure but our attitude in dealing with it."
