What
is your favorite thing about the movie Labyrinth?
That
it shows a whole world based on magic and intelligent
creatures other than humans. And also that it is possible
to visit this world if you've has the ill-fate of being
born somewhere else (like earth... ^_^)
Who
is your favorite character, and why?
Hummm,
I'd have to say the little Brownies that live under the
floor tiles of the stone slab part of the maze. They are
the creatures I laughed hardest at when I first saw the
movie and the creatures I identify with most closely.
If
Jareth had given you the crystal (and there was no baby
brother at stake), what dream would you have chosen?
Here
my sci-fi self takes over and I would wish to have some
means of traveling the galaxy (with hyperdrive) and archive
everything I found.
What
character in the movie do you think you are most like?
Why?
Like
I said, the Brownies. Because fate delt them the situation
they live in, they always get stepped on and are easily
flustered. I don't know if they are explorers though.
That is where we may differ.
Do
you believe in faeries? Yes
What
is your favorite quote?
"The
best cure for a narrow mind is travel."---was it Twain??
I actually don't know.
Do
you think David Bowie is sexy? (If you don't swing that
way.... how about Jennifer?)
In
the movie...yeah. However, ever since I saw the making
of the Labyrinth (on the DVD) and him in the recording
studio, I never really thought of him as sexy after that.
He does have a certian kind of hansomeness that made him
the perfect Goblin King.
Do
you have a favorite Bowie album? What is it and what do
you like about it?
It's
more like a song (I'm not the biggest Bowie fan) "Spaceoddity."
i don't really know why I like it, other than just the
sound to it. And I guess it has 'space' in it.
What
career are you in, or what career do you hope to be in?
Well,
that's just a little to fuzzy to say anything about.
What
are your favorite movies?
Well
the closest in mind are (in no order): Star Wars (origional
3), Close Encounters of the Thrid kind, of course Labyrinth,
Matrix, Legend, Traffic, Thomas Crown Affair, Headsuckerproxy,
and many others.
What
are your favorite books?
Lords
of the Sky By Angus Wells, The Narnia stories (have some
overtones though), Star Wars the novels, and lots of others,
too many for me to give credit too.
Who
is your favorite singer or band?
The
Corrs. Best band and unfortuanly nobody knows about them.
What
are your favorite Web sites?
Well,
rattlebeak.com, cnet.com, activebuyersguide.com, and bored.com.
What
is your web site address?
Well,
I'm working on that. Maybe when I have some time, I want
to start one up.
What
is your favorite set of song lyrics?
"Things,
Faces, Far Off Places, Trinkets I Can Buy,
No Hansome Stranger, Petty Danger, Joy that I Can Try.
No Ferris Wheel, No Part To Steal, No Laughter in the
Dark.
A One Night Stand, A Far Off Land, So Far that I Can Not
Spot." --Substitute for love by Madonna (Ray of Light,
track 1)
What
is the most amazing thing you have ever done?
The
most amazing thing I've ever done is sneaking out to spend
the night on my parents pontoon boat. It was a really
magical night in the late summer of my highschool senior
year. There was this glorious fog that hung close to the
ground, that billowed around and a slow, humidity kind
of way. There was a full moon out, and since the fog held
relativly close to the ground, you could almost see it
perfectly above the mist. It was a gorgeous full, bright
moon that illuminated the mist and everything around.
It was especially magical down on the dock with the trees
and foliage making soft outlines of the shore and stark
shawdows where the moonlight didn't hit. The water was
as smooth as glass and I could see straight to the bottom
of the lake. It was really warm, very surreal, and there
was no noise save what ever I disturbed. I remember thinking
how it would be one of the last nights I would live at
my parents home, because I was off to college in less
than a month. I remember the stars and the black night,
with the mysteries of a fog saturated forest and just
the extreme beauty that night held. Time stood still and
I didn't want to go to sleep only to wake up in the same
world I always woke up in. It was the most amazing night,
full of magical solitude, and I loved it. I'm actually
very glad I get to write about it for you, so that I can
keep on remembering to a fine detail.
Tell
us more about yourself.
I
have an imagination that, well not to boost, could rival
Sarah's. I dream everyday of adventures and explorations.
Though I'm a little more of a sci-fi kind of girl, I
love magic too. I think I'll be going into an engineering
field and I hope it will allow me the oppertunity to
work for NASA. My only regret is that space travel isn't
the norm for most people.... Though someday.... I love
the fantastical and the Unknown and anything science.
I actually have a fan-fic (though unfinished) that I
hope to cross magic and science with. It's called Purpose
and you can find it on Maraysia's site under my name
Keinten Tisuv. Or you could just email me. Okay... enough
advertising, especially while posted on Judith's website!
But you know her site is one of the best around!!! ^_^
In
closing...
I
like to believe that dreams do come true, in some way,
shape or form. I'm trying to achieve mine right now.
I'm very flattered that you all have read this far about
me and I enjoy reading about all the others who profile
themselves! Thanks! Oh, and read my story... I NEED
feedback... ^_^
