What
is your favorite thing about the movie Labyrinth?
I
like how the journey through the Labyrinth depended more
on the quester's intelligence, inner strength, and perception
than any physical parameters (such as sense of direction
or stanima).
Who
is your favorite character, and why?
Sir Didymus is my favorite character (though
Sarah is a close second). He is the epitomy of graciousness,
fair play, and chilvery - but he takes each to such rediculous
extremes!
If
Jareth had given you the crystal (and there was no baby
brother at stake), what dream would you have chosen?
Mmmmm,
I my dream would be to own a planet near the horsehead
nebula where the forests are as tall as the redwoods,
and the vast meadows of bluegrass are home to herds of
horses. I would have a large house near both the
woods and the grasslands with an observatory with a 100
m telescope and a barn full of Arabians.
What
character in the movie do you think you are most like?
Why?
I
think I'm most like Ralph. I like to play games
and solve puzzles and such, and even if I'm no good at
them, I always know the rules!
Do
you believe in faeries? Yes
What
is your favorite quote?
We
are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at
the stars.
~Oscar
Wilde
Do
you think David Bowie is sexy? (If you don't swing that
way.... how about Jennifer?)
No.
I think Jareth is rather hansome, but not sexy.
Do
you have a favorite Bowie album? What is it and what do
you like about it?
I don't own any of Bowie's music, and I
really only like the stuff from Labyrinth.
What
career are you in, or what career do you hope to be in?
I'm an astronomer (entering grad school!)
What
are your hobbies?
I love horseback riding. I also read,
play with electronics stuff, play the flute, and mess
around with my other animals (dogs, cats, ect.).
What
are your favorite movies?
Star Wars (all of them), Labyrinth (obviously),
Princess Bride, Dead Poets Society, October Sky, The Last
Unicorn and Pride and Prejudice
What
are your favorite books?
Tolkein's 'Lord of the Rings', Jordans'
'Wheel of Time', Lewis' 'Chronicles of Narnia', Wrede's
'Enchanted Forest Chronicles', Smith's 'Forbidden Games
Trilogy', and Vande Velde's 'Companions of the Night'
Who
is your favorite singer or band?
Not really a singer or band, but I love
Borodine's Polovistrian Dances and a piano piece called
'Shallow Bay'.
What
is the most amazing thing you have ever done?
The most amazing thing I've done is competed
at the 4-H eastern National Roundup in Louisville, Kentucky
in Horse Bowl. My team (Massachusetts) ended up
placing 9th and I placed 5th individually.
Tell
us more about yourself.
Angeline
is a rather studious individual who likes to spend her
spare time sweeping the barn or daydreaming of physical
theories to explain different concepts of magic. Her
beautiful mare, Topsy, is due April 26th and she hopes
to someday show the baby at nationals. Angeline
loves quotes because it's so much easier to reuse someone
else's thoughts (though they may be taken out of context
:-> ) then to think up original comments.
In
closing...
Here's
another quote I like a lot: Though I have fallen, I
will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be
my light. Just goes to show, there's always hope.
