The Underground Gazette was a publication devoted to keeping Labyrinth and Fantasy fans in general up-to-date on the goings-on in the Underground. Judith and Mistress Wolf started it as an outlet for the creative musings of those fans who were dissatisfied with the fact that the world of the Underground "came to an end" with the end of the film "Labyrinth". For some people, this meant writing short stories or articles on the happenings in the Underground. For others, like Mistress Wolf, that meant making critical analyzations of the film and enlightening others over the subtleties that it possesses.

My personal hopes were that the Gazette would go even further... I wanted to see the Underground thrive with new creatures and beings with their own stories, not just those of the film. The Underground is one of those places you can't contain in one little film. It is a perfect environment for many stories with many focal points.

I think we were on the right track, but unfortunately we had to discontinue our efforts. I encourage anyone who would like to take the time to start their own Underground Gazette! I still think it's a great idea and would love to see it thrive under the right loving care.
